Saw this yesterday and actually really enjoyed it. A lot of the scenes are pretty much verbatim from the novel, and the soundtrack is really well edited into the film, so it’s not at all obnoxious. Aside from Maguire being awful it was really, really good-baffled by all the hate it received to be honest. Also, Leonardo diCaprio is just brilliant as Gatsby, really wonderful [please give him an Oscar based on the scene at Nick’s alone]. And Carey Mulligan is 100x better than Mia Farrow as Daisy.
